Actor David Gail of Beverly Hills, 90210 and Port Charles passes away at the age of 58

Actor David Gail, who starred in the “General Hospital” spinoff “Port Charles” and Beverly Hills, 90210,” has passed away. He was fifty-eight.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, Gail’s sister Katie Colmenares confirmed the news, saying, “There’s barely been even a day in my life when you were not with me by my side.”

Colmenares went on,

“Always my wingman always my best friend ready to face anything and anyone w me the bears will never be the same but I will hold you so tight every day in my heart you gorgeous loving amazing fierce human being missing you every second of every day forever there will never be another.”

For eight episodes, Gail portrayed Stuart Carson, the fiancé of Brenda Walsh, played by Shannon Doherty, on the adolescent drama series “Beverly Hills, 90210.” He succeeded Michael Dietz as the second actor to play Dr. Joe Scanlon in “Port Charles.” Dietz had played the part since 1999. Before leaving the ABC soap opera the next year, he made appearances in 216 episodes.

On February 27, 1965, Gail was born in Tampa, Florida. In 1990, he made his on-screen debut as Norman in a single episode of “Growing Pains.”

Apart from his appearances on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Port Charles,” Gail gained notoriety for his portrayal of Dean Collins in the WB soap opera “Savannah” from 1996 and 1997. The Round Table, Matlock, Robin’s Hoods, Murder, She Wrote, JAG, and Doogie Howser, M.D. are among his other television credits.
